1. Stannous sulfate (SnSO₄) is widely used in electroplating as a source of stannous ions for tin and tin-alloy plating, such as in the production of tin-plated steel and electronic components.
2. Tin sulfate acts as a strong reducing agent in various chemical reactions and is used in the preparation of other tin compounds.
3. Tin sulfate is employed as a sensitizing and activating agent in electroless plating processes, particularly for metalizing non-conductive surfaces.
4. Additionally, it finds applications in textile dyeing as a mordant and in the production of catalysts and specialty chemicals.

1. Store stannous sulfate in a tightly sealed container to prevent exposure to moisture and air, which can cause oxidation or hydrolysis.
